About Us

Our practice was first located within another practice in central Birmingham, however to develop the service more efficently and professionally with increased services we ahve recently moved to THE BIG PEG in the JEWELLRY QUARTER Birmingham.  Additionally we have secured rooms in practices at other locations in BIRMINGHAM that may provide supportive services to our ME/CFS clients. These services include Psychotherapy, Homeopathy , Acupuncture, and Aromatherapy/Massage.  Other services such as Nutrition are avalable through our partnerships with other professionals inn the area.

The practice at the BIG PEG is simple and we are attempting to maintain its simplicity so that the environment is calming by its reduction of stimulation, which can be a great problem in this condition especially considering hyperacusis, photophobia and problems in concentration.

As much as is possible we also use our succsessful clients as advisors, some have gone on to develop further professional skills as complimentary therapists and counsellors and can provide extra advice and support as well as NLP and EFT for example.

The Jewellry Quarter is indeed Birminghams hidden Gem, it is an area that has a tangible creative buzz and reflects antiquity and authenticiy through its old but rather splendid architecture.  We hope to create such a 'dependable' and palpable quality in our treatments that is coupled with the enivironment.

Our passion for supporting patients is based on real observation and confidence in the approaches advised and provided.  As much as is possible we would like to maintain contact with the clients GP although this may not always be welcomed from the GPs point of view.

We charge a flat rate of £33.00 for ME CFS clients and hope to keep it this way for a few years yet.

The Perrin Technique which forms the basis of our Physical Therapy was formulated by Dr Raymond Perrin and arose from 'small idea' to Phd.  It is based on the concept that burning out the sympathetic nervous system reduces lymphatic drainage which then reduces toxin excretion.  These toxins then lead to an inflammation of the Central Nervous System , which may then lead to a myriad of effects which become unbearable for the client and confusing for the GP.  The technique involves breast massage/draiange as well a s back, head and neck.  Consent dignity and comfort are maintained at all times. Assessment is made according to a sliding scale of 1 -10. 10 is the best and 1 the worse, 12 sessions are initially planned for at weekly intervals the weeks are stretched out as improvement ensues, although initially one may get a little worse.  Different client progress at different rates according to the severity, level of support at home, emotional state but to mention a few additioanl factors.

We offer a full service 7 days a week, and can also deliver advice over the phone.
